A sign is a sign, is a sign.

I suppose I should have started this blog about 25 years ago and saved my family all the grief of hearing me drone on about my visual impressions regarding signage, color, lighting, placement or some detail that would have made the presence of an image stronger.

Now I have a place to call my own.

This sign caught my eye at a Cuban restaurant on Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. It was a rainy day and as the only seats we saw were the 10 or so bar stools on the street under a small canopy, we parked in the back in one of the few spots, hoping there were a few tables inside. Not so. I loved the way this sign appeared, apparently hung on a tree in the parking lot. Great hand painting and just the right tilt.

My English (and Spanish) is not perfect but something tells me there there is an extra hyphen in there somewhere.
